This policy describes how the Chrome extension Countdown Timers for Google Slides ("the extension") handles information.

What the extension does

The extension runs only on Google Slides pages (docs.google.com/presentation). While a presentation is being shown, it looks for short timer codes such as <<05:00->> in the text of the slides and displays a timer, a clock or a date in their place.

Data we do not collect

The extension does not collect, store or transmit personal information. It does not read your browsing history, your email, your files or the content of your slides beyond the timer codes it replaces. It does not use analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking of any kind. No account is required.

Data stored on your device

Your timer settings (for example the chosen sound or whether seconds are hidden) are saved with Chrome's built-in storage and may sync between your own Chrome profiles through your Google account, as controlled by your Chrome settings. This data never reaches us.

Feedback you choose to send

If you use the feedback or uninstall form on this website, the text you type and, optionally, your email address are sent to a form hosted by Google Forms and stored in a spreadsheet owned by the developer. This information is used only to improve the extension and answer you. It is not shared with third parties.

Permissions

• storage — to save your timer settings.
• scripting — to activate the timer in Google Slides tabs that were already open when the extension was installed.
• Access to docs.google.com/presentation — to read timer codes and draw timers on presentation pages only.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
